The Points System
So, you're done! You've auditioned, you've been placed in a tier...now what? The best way to get everything out of Domhantir that you can is to jump in and start earning points.
What are Points?
Points are like currency here at Domhantir. For Role-players, points can be used to upgrade your characters with new talents and abilities. For both RP and NRP members, points can buy you up-close-and-personal critiques from our staff, which can be very handy if you have a particular story you'd like feedback on or a big essay for class you want to be sure to nail.
How do I earn Points?
There are three main ways of earning points on the forum:
How do I spend my Points?
Put those hard-earned points to good use on the Marketplace board in the Square. While most of the wares sold on the Marketplace are free--things like Point Scores and Audition retakes--you can post in the Purchase Feedback thread to request a paid critique from a staff member, complete with a guarantee for a response within 7 days.
How do I keep track of my Points?
You can always view the amount of points on your account by looking at your member title, which is located under your name on any post you've made. Under your name is your tier group; under that, some shiny stars; and under the stars is your title, which will look something like this:
II - [300 / 700]
RP Level 1
The first piece of information in the title, the Roman numeral, indicates your tier. This example member is Tier II.
The numbers in brackets are your points. The number on the left is how many points you have left to spend--this member has 300--and the number on the right is the total number of points you've ever earned. So, in all her time on Domhantir, our example member has earned a total of 700 points. She's spent 400 of them, so she has 300 left.
The second line of the title indicates whether you are a Role-play or NRP member. For Role-players, it also indicates your character's current level (see Leveling below).
Do I have to pay to get feedback?
Nope! Members and staff are always free to give feedback to whomever they wish, paid or not. When you submit a paid request, what you're paying for is the guarantee--that within 7 days, one of our feedback specialists will get you a response. This can come in handy, especially when you have a paper due next week that you'd like some pointers on.

How do I earn Points?
There are three main ways of earning points on the forum:
- Write! Almost all types of creative writing you produce, whether RP-style threads, Collaborative contributions, or Workshop submissions, can be scored for points. Check out Scoring below.
- Feedback! The easiest way by far to get points on your account is to post in the Workshop's Feedback board (note: that link won't work unless you've completed your Audition). For more information about earning points by feedbacking, and what we look for in good feedback, check out the Feedback Tutorial.
- Compete! We love giving away point prizes for projects and contests! Once you've finished your Audition, check out the Projects and Contests boards in the Workshop.
