Tehuanti
Overview
Appearance: In appearance, the tehuanti are essentially otters, but with human-like body form and scale. They walk on two legs, have opposable thumbs, etc., but they also have flipper-like feet and hands, a tail, a dense covering of waterproof fur, and an otter's head. Most are 5' 2" to 5' 5"; males are typically a little taller than females. Fur tones range from deep brown to beige, with rare blacks and whites.
Aging: Tehuanti age much like humans, usually dying between age 60 and 75. However, they experience puberty sooner than humans--typically around age eight or nine. Sexual maturity is usually reached around age 15.
Territory: Quamnis
Abilities: Do I really need to say they're phenomenal swimmers? Tehuanti can hold their breath for up to 15 minutes--although some master swimmers have been reported to stay underwater for nearly 25.
